Sunday Ogunronbi, a naturalised South African citizen, read law at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, Nigeria (LLB -1990); Nigeria Law School (Bar Finals 1991); University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg (PG Certificate in Tertiary Education Practice – 1997), University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg (LLM – 1997); University of Pretoria (LLM -1998/9); University of Antwerp, Belgium (Research Fellow – 1999); the School for Legal Practice, Pretoria (2001); and passed the Practical Examination for Attorneys in terms of section 14(1)(a) (b) & (c) Attorneys Act 53 of 1979 (Passed Aug. 2001).
Between 1990 and 2001, Sunday was in legal practice in Nigeria, Botswana and South Africa, lectured commercial law courses at tertiary institutions in Botswana and South Africa, and has publications in law journals in the field of legal studies, social security, and legal education.
Sunday is currently completing a Masters degree in Town & Regional Planning at the University of Pretoria.
Currently Chief Director: Spatial Planning & Information, Department of Rural Development and Land Reform, Pretoria, and has an aggregate of twenty (20) years post tertiary degree work experience in both public and private sectors.
Sunday has been with the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform since late 2001 dealing with spatial planning, land use management and land planning policy and legislation.
