** Call for Sessions on the Geography of Governance-IGU 2022 Congress **

 

Submissions of Sessions within the scope of the IGU Commission on Geography of Governance (IGU-CGoG).

The Call for Sessions for Paris 2022 International Geographic Union Centennial Congress is now open. 

 

Important deadlines:

 

The deadline for the session proposals is 1 October 2021. 

The announcement of the accepted sessions is expected by 15 October 2021.

 

Two types of sessions:

 

The proposals can be of two different kinds. They can either be included in:

 

a) The theme of the 2022 congress, “Time for Geographers”. In this case, the proposals will be assessed and managed by the scientific committee of the Congress.

 

b) The perimeter of one the International Geographic Union’s commissions. In this case, the proposals will be assessed and managed by the chairs of the various commissions.

 

Practical information for the organisation of a session

 

Sessions can cover one timeslot (105 minutes) or expand, according to the number of communications, on several timeslots within the limits of 4 timeslots. 

 

Each person can only propose/organize one session.

 

In the online submission form you will have to indicate the name of the Commission to which you intend to submit your session, choosing the name in the list provided (e.g., ‘Geography of Governance’).
