The North West Province has finalised the 4th Edition of the North West Environmental Implementation Plan (2020 – 2025). The 4th Edition North West EIP (2020 – 2025) will run concurrently with the coming MTSF, provide specific targets and outcomes, and also allocate responsibilities for the implementation of the interventions outlined in the North West Environment Outlook 2018 Report. The North West Cooperative Governance Stakeholder Forum aims to:

- Promote consistency in the exercise of functions that may affect the environment;
- Create awareness on the procedures for cooperative governance as per National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) (NEMA);
