VIRTUALLY: Online
BACKGROUND
The global COV19 pandemic has demonstrated that cities are more complex than many built environment professionals envisaged.
For Kampala, the demands of urban life, continued under COV19. For instance, open public spaces were required for Socio-economic activities such as for people to trade, civilian activities, to live, work and play. Private Spaces were the areas we lived, and the interface of the two was the contested space.
This seminar is important because it confirms the needs in Planning such as regularisation of Bulk Infrastructure provision, civilian practices as well as budgets allocated towards public spaces, private spaces and the role of the interface between public space and private space.
Once we understand meaning, we can Plan , Design and Budget better.
