South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN) Student Essay Competition.

As part of 2023 World Town Planning Day, SACPLAN wishes to encourage student planners to get involved in matters of the planning profession. The Council has taken a position to ignite and create awareness on Transformation in planning. The focus will be on the meaning of transformation and what it means for the future. Students enrolled in a SACPLAN accredited Town/Urban and Regional Planning programmes in 2023 are invited to briefly discuss what transformation means to them and the planning profession in the next decade given South Africa’s historic past.

The closing date for the Short Essay submission is at 16:00 on Friday 27 October 2023.
