Western Cape Property Development Forum (WCPDF) – Virtual in Conversation Series – EVENT 2: GOVERNMENT INVESTING IN GROWTH THROUGH INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS
September 17, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Western Cape Property Development Forum (WCPDF)
Virtual In Conversation Series
What does the future look like for Property Development?
The WCPDF presents a series of important conversations with leading authorities in both the public and private sectors towards re-activating the economy and to debate what the new ways of doing business can be.
Each virtual session will kick off with a short scene-setting introduction by a prominent keynote speaker, before an industry specialist facilitator invites a relevant panel of experts to engage with the speaker, before throwing the floor open to delegates attending the session online .
While the Western Cape is at the heart of the focus group for this series, the conversations hold enormous relevance for the property development and construction sectors across the entire South African economy and beyond our own borders.
The series is aimed at developers, consultants, contractors, financial and banking representatives, and the diverse public sector in which government officials and politicians play critical roles.
It will be brought to industry via a highly interactive virtual event experience platform that turns sponsors, speakers and delegates into active and engaged participants from the moment they register until well after the event has ended. In other words, this is not your average webinar series.
EVENT 2: THURSDAY 17 SEPTEMBER 2020 | 14h00 – 16h00
GOVERNMENT INVESTING IN GROWTH THROUGH INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS
In conversation with Minister Patricia de Lille
Minister de Lille will set the background for this conversation by exploring the following themes:
- Growth of infrastructure capacity creates opportunity for growth.
- Infrastructure projects employ professionals and contractors – secures implementation capacity.
- Construction activity creates confidence in the future.
- How do we prevent statutory approval delays that prevents projects from hitting the ground?
Bafikile Simelane (SACPCMP) will be facilitating the event and session panellists, (industry specialists to be confirmed), will further engage with the Minister with input from delegates, both before and during the event.
