Abstract

Globally, the profound impacts of innovation and new technologies on cities are becoming evident. Urban transportation systems and the ways in which individuals meet their everyday mobility needs are undergoing radical changes due to technological advances and the attendant proliferation of digital platforms and ICT-mediated mobility solutions. In this final section of the book, we explore the emergence, diffusion and implications of technological innovation for transportation and mobility in urban Africa.
