Digital tools for Spatial Planning

The Karoo Regional Spatial Development Framework is the first attempt to create a regional SDF under the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act 13 of 2020. One of the fascinating parts of this process has been the breadth of the participation process and the use of tools such as online platforms and surveys in this regard. What can we learn from these initiatives for crafting other spatial plans, such as municipal SDFs?
